If you are a fan (fanatic) for the Fender Stratocaster model you will be reading what you already know. This is a rare guitar. In 1954 Fender introduced the Stratocaster, a new model. Fender created a good supply in 1954 but there may not have yet been a demand for this new, advanced design three pickup electric guitar. The 1954 guitars are interesting... some are like this and some are like that. In 1955 fender made fewer Stratocasters, but by that time the guitar became a better, more consistent version of the 1954 guitar. The guitar being offered here is special. It is still in excellent condition with only light wear. The body looks to be one piece of very grainy light weight ash. The weight is seven pounds three ounces. The original center pocket tweed case is still intact and the original illustrated price list is also included. The neck date is 7-55 and the body date is 6-55. This one has a good size neck with a very slight v shape at the nut but more a round shape over all. The guitar has a good re fret. The bakelite parts are here and original except for the arm and switch tip. One of the original covers (middle) is in the case, showing some wear. The other two are on the guitar. If a vintage Stratocaster is your bag  you will like this!
