This is a great sounding scallop braced D18, the sound is bold, robust and light at the same time. The guitar does not have a lot of weight to it, Martin used very little metal in their guitars of this time period. There is some minor damage repaired on the side. The finish on this guitar is all original. My expert tells me the bridge and bridge plate are original. The top looks very intact, I do not notice any repairs but there is a lot of finish checking. I think this has had the neck reset/refret combo platter everyone seems to like and does not need any work to be done on it.
